OGINAU Remote · In development · preparing for public release
Reach your Windows work
from ChatGPT.
OGINAU Remote is a remote bridge between ChatGPT and your Windows PC. The Windows Connector makes an outbound connection from your PC, and ChatGPT can work only inside folders that you explicitly allow.
OGINAU Remote is currently in development and preparing for public release. New public sign-ups are not open yet, and specifications may change.
In the current v0.1 public surface, tools are focused on file operations. Arbitrary terminal and process execution are disabled on the ChatGPT-facing public surface.
What it can do
- Check the connection status of your Windows PC
- List directories inside approved folders
- Read UTF-8 text files
- Create and update files
- Create folders and move or rename files
- Check Windows Connector download information
- Pair or re-pair a Windows PC
- Explicitly disconnect the current Windows connection from ChatGPT
Safety principles
- Approved folders only: the Connector cannot access paths outside folders you authorize.
- One account, one active device in v0.1: the initial public model limits each OGINAU account to one active Windows PC.
- Sensitive-path protection: secret keys, environment files, and other sensitive paths are blocked.
- Local credential protection: Windows device credentials are protected with DPAPI and bound to the current Windows user.
- No file-body logging: OGINAU Remote audit logs do not store file contents or file paths.
What you need
- A supported ChatGPT account, plan, and usage environment
- An internet-connected Windows PC
- The OGINAU Remote Windows Connector
- A Windows folder you have permission to access
